Take a look at the new Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics GP
If you bought Collections Management for Dynamics GP or have a Dynamics GP BRL Advanced Management license you will be one of thousands of users that can look forward to the next release of Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics® GP. Due out June 1, 2013, the new general availability release date coincides with Professional Advantage and Microsoft reaching agreement to return full control of Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics® GP back to Professional Advantage. Microsoft has been a great partner throughout the term of the 12 year OEM agreement. But with this new era everyone at Professional Advantage is excited to be getting Collections Management back. Regaining control of Collections Management means that Professional Advantage has the freedom to set the direction for Collections while incorporating customer and partner feedback.
We have already added some major new functionality to the product and have some quick videos you can check out. If you have ideas or want additional functionality please drop us a line – we’d love to hear from you. In the meanwhile, here are some of the main areas where we have been hard at work:
Collections Management has had queries to target customers and the ability to send emails and invoices, but it still required some manual work to make it all happen. With the new release you can assign your customers to different Collection Plans. When you log in to Microsoft Dynamics GP, the system can then let you know what needs to be done (e.g. Send 42 Reminder Emails with invoices attached, schedule 11 phone calls, send 31 second reminder emails, etc.). All you need to do is click OK and it all happens. Here is a video of the new Collection Plans functionality in Collections Management.
From the Collection Plan window or from the Collections Main window you can now easily select a letter and mark the invoices you want to attach. The email with attached PDF invoices is sent automatically, and a new note is created in the system to track exactly what was sent. You can see the attaching of invoices to emails here.
Collect on Invoices from non-GP invoicing systems:
In recent years, as a Dynamics developer we’ve also focused on building Dynamics GP and CRM systems for the staffing and recruitment industry. One of the frustrating things for us was that there were things we wanted to add to Collections Management to help our staffing customers and couldn’t. With the new release of Collections Management not only can our 1Staff (formerly PAM) customers improve their processes, but we can work with virtually any invoicing system integrated with Dynamics GP. Improved Reporting and Access:
There has been a lot of work around reporting and making data available to other users who might not have access to Dynamics GP. Check out this video to see how you can automatically email out an aging reporting using Reporting Services. From that report you can drill into the customer to see aging details, payment trends, invoices, and collection notes. You can also click on an invoice to see the actual document right from your web browser.
Quick Start Wizards:
Everyone is busy, sometimes too busy to implement something that will actually save them time. We want to remove the barrier of time and get you up and running as fast as we can. New functionality will help you get standard Collection Plans, Actions, Collection Letters, etc. all setup through a wizard. This will give you the capability to send out invoices to all of your customers automatically within minutes.
